(The condensed Reader's Digest version)...Best has an M.A. in English Literature, a B.A. in Creative Writing, and Certificates in Digital Music Production and Music Production. Jan's work has been featured nationally and internationally via TV, Radio, and Printed Media. She's an award-winning poet, has written over 250 songs, was a panel judge for numerous music and writing competitions across the U.S., and had two original plays produced in Black Box Theatre (which won both the coveted Korby Award and New Voices Playwriting Award). Her songwriting course was offered at over 1,100 colleges and universities throughout the United States, Canada, and Australia. Best has worked onstage with Billy Ray Cyrus, Johnny Paycheck, Loretta Lynn, Kitty Wells, and John Conlee; and was part of the A&E documentary DAREDEVILS which featured Robbie Knievel. She owns three businesses and currently resides in New York State.
